The special screening of Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s eagerly anticipated movie ‘2 States’ was held recently.

Alia Bhatt’s father, Mahesh Bhatt, who was also present at the screening, is very impressed by his daughter’s performance in the movie. As much as he is impressed by his daughter’s performance, the veteran filmmaker is more impressed by Arjun Kapoor’s performance in the movie.

“2 States - Alia is fantastic in a startlingly different role. But it is Arjun who stole my heart and made me weep. He is a star! It's a winner," Mahesh posted on Twitter on April 14.

‘2 States’ is a movie adaptation of author Chetan Bhagat’s famous and critically acclaimed novel ‘2 States’.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is currently shooting with Arjun Kapoor for the movie ‘Tevar’, said that she respects her co-star for being a thorough professional.

“He is cordial with everybody. He is not overtly friendly but a very chilled out guy and good to work with," said Sonakshi Sinha to IANS.

“What I really respect and like about him is that he is a good co-star and very professional on the sets and knows what he is doing despite the film being his father's production," added the actress.

Both Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha are star kids- while Arjun is the son of producer Boney Kapoor, Sonakshi is the daughter of actors Poonam and Shatrughan Sinha.

The actress revealed that they studied in the same school and she knew about Arjun Kapoor thanks to his cousins Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.

Actor Imran Khan recently walked out of Vikramaditya Motwanee's film ‘Bhavesh Joshi’.  But the actor has said that there was “no bad reason” for his walking out of the movie.

“I don't like to talk about reasons for not doing a film. It's disrespectful. There is no bad reason for leaving the film," Imran told IANS.

“There's something between him and me, so I don't want to disrespect anyone," he added.

There have also been reports stating that the actor has walked out of the movie to spend time with her pregnant wife Avantika.

The insiders had earlier informed that though Ranveer Singh was mostly a definite for the movie, Deepika Padukone wasn’t still sure about signing on the dotted line as she had allotted her dates to Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’.

“Sanjay Leela Bhansali was keen on Deepika for Mastani's part. But she couldn't seem to accommodate the long schedules required for ‘Bajirao Mastani’, especially since she gave the nod to Karan Johar's ‘Shuddhi’ which would take up close to 150 shooting days," said a source.

Actress Katrina Kaif has denied the rumors of being approached to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia’s upcoming movie ‘Raees’.

“I don't know where this news has come from. There is no such discussion like that till now. There are three films ‘Bang Bang’, ‘Phantom’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ that I am doing right now. I am in talks for two more projects which I can't reveal," Katrina told PTI.

Delhi High Court has asked the producers of the movie ‘Gulaab Gang’, including Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd, to appraise their plans of releasing the movie on DVD and Television channels after activist Sampat Pal filed a fresh plea against the movie seeking an injunction on its release on DVD or Television channels.

A bench comprising of Acting Chief Justice B D Ahmed and Justice Siddharth Mridul has asked the film's producers to give their response on April 24.

Earlier the same bench had over ruled an order of a single judge stalling the release of the movie. The bench passed the new judgement while hearing the plea by Uttar Pradesh-based social activist Sampat Pal seeking an injunction against the release of the film's DVDs and its screening on TV channels.

The activist has alleged that she and her group 'Gulabi Gang' have been shown in poor light and as law breakers in the movie which is primarily based on her life.

However the producer’s of the movie have been opposing the contention. Earlier, the producers had opposed the plea of Pal that the on-going screening of the movie has amounted to "continuous defamation", saying that it had bombed at the box office.

B-Town is buzzing with reports that Farhan Akhtar has approached his good friend Hrithik Roshan to star in his upcoming home production.

If the reports are true then this movie will feature the never before seen pairing of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

Earlier it was reported that the male lead will be Aamir Khan. But the actor chose to walkout of the movie due to differences with regards to remuneration and clauses with the production company.

‘Kochadaiiyaan’, starring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya.

The release date of the eagerly anticipated biopic on Olympic medal winning boxer Mary Kom has finally been announced. Today the production house Viacom 18 Motion Pictures announced the release date.

The movie that will see Priyanka Chopra playing the boxer will release on October 2^nd, on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

The biopic will be directed by Omung Kumar, the art director of 'Black' and 'Sawaariya'. He approached filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the idea of adapting Mary Kom’s inspiring life story into a movie. Sanjay Leela Bhansali lost no time in giving his approval for the project and decided to produce it.
