Poor Anushka Sharma couldn’t catch a break recently at IIFA festival held inToronto.

Firstly the poor girl had to travel to Toronto without her beau by her side. Ranveer Singh was only able to join her the very next day.

Secondly, Sonakshi Sinha was selected over Anushka Sharma to perform with Ranveer Singh. Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh rehearsed together for the performance but the organizers at the last moment chose Sonakshi over Anushka as they dint find her performance satisfactory.

"At the last moment Anushka was replaced by Sonakshi to dance with Ranveer. The organizers said that Anushka was not well prepared, and thus they couldn't take any chances”, said a source.

The last movie that Yash Chopra directed was Veer-Zaara, way back in the year 2004. The legendary director of movies like Lamhe, Silsila, and Dil Toh Pagal Hai etc… is all set to break his 7 year long hiatus and get back behind the camera.

The director is set to direct a yet unnamed movie which will star Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The music score will be by A R Rahman and the lyrics will be penned by Gulzar.

This will be the first time that Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif will be paired up on screen. The jodi of Anushka and Shah Rukh has already been seen in the movie ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

On his obvious choice of Shah Rukh for the lead, the director said, “Everyone knows that when I make a movie, Shah Rukh will be involved with it. He is like family to YRF and I have always regarded him as one of my own”.

However, the director isn’t sure how his audience will reach to the movie.

"It's been seven years since I directed Veer-Zaara and as I begin work on my new film, I hear my inner voice asking me a lot of questions. Are you sure you want to direct again, you are nearly 80 and the audience is getting younger day by day. Can I really speak from my heart and still expect today's youth to listen to me?” said Chopra.

Shah Rukh Khan with his charisma has already captured billion Indian hearts. But on this Saturday he set out to capture Toronto and was very successful too.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for SRK to perform. But thanks to his knee injury he was unable to do so. But instead of disappointing his fans, SRK found a whole new way to entertain them.

Shah Rukh Khan was on-off stage all through the night. His dance performance was supposed to be the closing event of the night. He started his performance with a bang to his song ‘Say shava shava’ but it stopped as soon as it had begun.

The audience was very disappointed to see that the star wouldn’t perform any more. But little did they know that SRK had something else up his sleeve.

"If I can't dance, I'll make sure everyone dances here in Toronto tonight. Today, I'll teach you guys different techniques used in Bollywood dancing" he said speaking to over 20,000 fans at Roger’s center inToronto.

Come July 1^st, two of the Bollywood’s biggest stars will compete with each other at box office. Two of the most awaited movies of the season ‘Delhi Belly’ and ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’ will release on July 1^st.

It is inevitably the comparisons between the two movies will be drawn. But Big B in his blog at bigadda.com has requested people not to compare the two films.

“Aamir and his production company are much bigger than me and my AB Corp, in commercial standing. We are a small budgeted film of Rs.10 crore, from a group of artists that do not compare equally with the cast and starring of 'Delhi Belly'," wrote ever modest Amitabh Bachchan.

"They have spent Rs.35 crore on their film. That would show the intensity of their investment. They would have to do a very large business to recover their money and they will -- looking at the past record and the present standing that they have," added the star.

"We cannot be compared to them... they are bigger than us... and shall do bigger … leave it at that… if our film is liked, it will fetch dividends, if not, it will not... simple and straight. We are not going to be able to make a rupee more by pulling down another. Each of us shall have our own merits and demerits, and so be it," he concluded.

Both the movies has already garnered a positive response from the audience. It wont be a surprise if both these movies go on to become a success.

Few days ago news was rife that Katrina Kaif was confirmed to play the lead role in the 3^rd installment of Dhoom series.

This news has done nothing but irk both Katrina Kaif and YRF production house.

'The correspondent didn't even bother to check with us before publishing the news. All of us know that Katrina is currently preparing for her role in Ek Tha Tiger that goes on floor very soon,' says an official spokesperson from Yash Raj Films.

The spokesperson also added that, “We would like to once again reiterate that we are still looking for a fresh face to play the female lead in the much awaited movie and that as of now no one has been cast for the role”.

Even though production house is searching for the lead lady, the 3 male leads have been confirmed. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue playing their roles and Aamir Khan will play a negative role.

The movie is set to go on floors soon and is scheduled to release in December 2012.

Everyone in the movie fraternity dreams of working with Amitabh Bachchan. But there are only a few whose dream of working with the legendary actor comes true. And one of those lucky is Puri Jagannadh who got to direct Big B in the upcoming movie ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’.

“I wrote the story for Mr. Bachchan. The film would have never gotten made if he hadn’t agreed. Once I was done, I asked Ramu sir (director Ram Gopal Varma) to get us connected. We met and though he liked the idea, he was hesitant because he thought the film was a masala entertainer,” said the director.

He said that it took a bit or persuasion to finally get a nod from Amitabh Bachchan.

Talking about Amitabh Bachchan the director said, “I never imagined directing him. In fact, I failed my exams during college because I was busy watching his films. Mr. Bachchan is like a volcano of energy.”

With the movie Heroine being on a temporary hold up, thanks to Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy, Arjun Rampal has got an unexpected holiday.

The national award winning actor had sighed on the dotted line to play one of the male leads of the movie. But with his co-star and the main lead getting pregnant he is currently idle.

“Like most of the industry the news of Ash impending motherhood caught Arjun unawares. He had allotted certain dates for Heroine and now those dates may not be utilized.'' 

But Arjun won’t mind it as he is very close both to Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. He is said to be elated with the news.

This would be the second movie that Ash and Arjun will star together. First being ‘Dil Ka Rishta’ which was produced by Aishwarya Rai’s brother.

With the release of Murder 2 falling close, the promotional events of the movie will start soon. The promotion of the movie will be crucial as they require the audience to give a positive response as the movie is very bold and erotic.

But the lead actress of the movie, Jacqueline Fernandez would be absent for most of the events as she is busy shooting for Housefull 2 in London at the moment. This has very much enraged the Bhatt camp naturally, who wanted the actress to be present in every single promotional event.

A very angry Mahesh Bhatt said, “I was angry with Mukesh and the production team. We have a premium product in Murder 2, which is now a franchise. The marketing should reach its peak in the last few days, but now Jacqueline has gone away. The film has a very high erotic content and hence it is important that the female lead of your film is there on every platform with you towards the end, during the promotional phase right before the audience sees it."

Guess what is Aamir Khan’s latest ambition? Its to become the best ‘Item Boy’ of all time. Yes, you have heard it right. After 2 decades of brilliant acting and being called ‘one of the best actors ever’, Aamir Khan now wants to conquer the ‘Item Boy’ world.

"I want to be the number one item boy of the industry," said Aamir Khan who recently shot for his first item song ‘I love you, like I hate you’ for his home production movie Delhi Belly.

"I think item girls ko hataana hoga, ek tough fight hogi.. Par item boys will rock all the way. (I feel the time of item girls is over and they face some serious competition)”, added the actor.

"The recent questioning from media, whether I am doing a song sequence in the film or not? Such things made me ponder. So, I must say that media has inspired me to do the item number," said the actor.

The actor said that the song was a tribute to the 80’s disco theme.

"It's a tribute to the 1980's discos. My hair-do is inspired by Amitabhji and I sport chest hair, just like Anil Kapoorji. The dance moves are similar to Mithunda as I am a big fan of him. And my attire will be a mix of Govinda, Amitabhji and other actors from that time," he said.

While everyone in the Bollywood industry is wishing the Bachchan’s on their joy, how can Ram Gopal Varma be left behind?

He also wished Abhishek Bachchan rather showed his disappointment to Abhishek Bachchan.

He has also tweeted that he thought Aishwarya Rai was more beautiful than Mona Lisa.
