Jiah Khan's mother conducts a sting operation

Actress Jiah Khan’s mother Rabiya Khan has reportedly performed a sting operation on the witnesses.

Rabiya Khan’s lawyer claims that they have "recorded conversations of the witnesses" and the result indicates that it was not a case of "suicide".

On Saturday Rabia moved to Bombay High Court once again alleging that Jiah was murdered and had not committed suicide. She wanted a Special Investigating Team to probe the case.

We have recorded conversations of the witnesses and it is different from the statement recorded by the police. For the last four months, we have been doing investigation and sting operations personally. The result in the material collected by us indicates it is not a case of suicide," Dinesh Tiwari, Rabia's lawyer, told IANS.

Karan Johar denies signing Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone for 'Shuddhi'

Filmmaker Karan Johar has denied the recent reports that he has signed actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone to play the lead in his upcoming home production ‘Shuddhi’.

Earlier the movie was to star Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. But later Hrithik Roshan walked out of the movie due to health and date issues and Kareena Kapoor followed the suit.

Since then media has been buzzing with reports that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been approached for the movie.

When asked if Ranveer and Deepika would be doing Shuddhi, Karan said, "No they are not finalized."

Aishwarya Rai denies signing P Vasu's movie

Few days ago Southern filmmaker P Vasu, known for films such as ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Chinna Thambi’, said that actress Aishwarya Rai was so impressed with the script of his upcoming movie that she had given her green signal to play Kalari warrior.

But her spokesperson today released a statement denying the news.

“This statement is in reference to the press release/ rumored attachment of Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Mr. P Vasu's film which has been doing the rounds very strongly today in the media and the industry. With due respect to all the professionals concerned , I would like to state that this was one among the several scripts/ ideas she has been approached for but there have been no confirmations at all. This “press release" came as a huge surprise to all of us. An E-mail clarifying this erroneous 'press release' has already been received by our office from the concerned parties,” said a statement from Aishwarya Rai’s spokesperson.

Female infant found dead in actor Mohnish Bahl' swimming pool

Last Saturday (February 22), a two-day-old infant was found dead in the swimming pool of actor Mohnish Bahl's Mumbra bungalow.

The actor said that due to this incident he is no longer sure that he wants to hold onto the property, where he spent a fair share of his childhood.

“My parents had bought the property in 1965 and many of my childhood days were spent there. But after my mother (actress Nutan) passed away in 1991, my father cut down on his visits to this bungalow,” the actor said to Mid-Day.

After his father (Rajneesh Behl) passed away in 2004, the actor and his wife stopped going there as well.

"Ekta and I have not been there for nearly a decade now. A watchman, who is also the caretaker, has been looking after the place," said Mohnish Bahl.

Geetika Tyagi denies that sexual harassment was due to casting couch

Actress Geetika Tyagi, who recently accused ‘Jolly LLB’ director Subhash Kapoor of sexually assaulting her and "forcing himself" on her and "drugging her" during a party held over a year ago, denied that sexual harassment came under the case of casting couch.

The video, posted on video-sharing website YouTube on Tuesday, shows Geetika slapping Subhash. She is seen confronting him too.

The actress blamed the media for giving the whole incident a different twist "without checking out the video properly", she said: "After much contemplation and courage, I took that step of uploading the stronger evidence. I used the social platform to reveal that.

"I assumed that people will observe and understand it carefully. Media will take it sensitively and sensibly. However, in these two days, I figured that a few channels have not even seen the video properly; they just took bits and pieces and played them in loop.

'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' is for everyone: Vidya Balan

National award winning actress Vidya Balan, who will next be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar in ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ said that her upcoming movie is not just for those who are married.

The actress believes that “all types of viewers will enjoy the film - be it those who are married, who are getting married, elderly couples or even teenagers."

“Everyone will like it because it is a relationship-based story. It will make you laugh and you will relate with it,” the actress said on the sets of TV serial ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’, for which she shot a special episode for promoting the film.

Vidya said that at a recently held private screening of ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’, people could relate to the movie.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra defends extension of Sanjay Dutt's parole by another month

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan has defended extension of parole of actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted in the 1993 Bombay serial blasts case, saying the action was taken as per law and no rules were violated.

Sanjay Dutt, who was convicted under Arms Act for illegal possession of weapons, was granted a month-long parole on December 6 last year, which was extended by another 30 days last month on account of his wife's illness.

He was supposed to return to Yerawada jail on February 21 to serve the remainder of his five year sentence but his parole was extended by another month by Pune district authorities to enable him to attend to his ailing wife Maanyata, who recently underwent a surgical procedure.

Koffee With Karan gets too bold for 9PM slot

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’ has never shied away from bold topics. But according to latest news, the show’s upcoming episode featuring Nargis Fakhri and Frieda Pinto has got too bold for its 9 PM slot.

Due to actress’s candid confessions and bold content the episode has now been shifted from 9PM to 11 PM slot.

The channel's view was that the content apparently was too bold for prime time viewing, sources said.

According to reports both Nargis Fakhri and Frieda Pinto were bold and candid and answered all of Karan Johar’s questions.

Actress Geetika Tyagi accuses director Subhash Kapoor of sexual assault

Casting Couch stories in Bollywood aren’t new. There have been many instances where upcoming actors and actresses have claimed that producers and directors asked for sexual affairs in return for a role in the movie.

The latest such allegation from actress Geetika Tyagi, who was last seen in the ‘One by Two’, against ‘Jolly LLB’ director Subhash Kapoor.

The actress recently tweeted stating that the director forced himself on her about a year-and-a-half ago. The actress also posted a video on YouTube, in which she confronts the director about the sexual assault.

The 31 minute long video also features Subhash Kapoor’s wife Dimple Kharbanda. In the video Dimple Kharbanda is seen pleading with Tyagi and her boyfriend, director Atul Sabharwal, to keep the matter private. "Sab kuch khatam ho gaya hai.. ek hi cheez bachhi hai, uss bachhe (their son) ka future," Kharbanda says in tears.

I will keep Anurag Kashypa's advice in mind: Kareena Kapoor

In a recent episode on Koffee With Karan, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap took a jibe at actress Kareena Kapoor and said that Kareena should focus not on who is in the film but rather on what's in the film.

“Anurag is absolutely right and I should pay heed to this, my sister Karisma and husband Saif follow this norm but I am the kind who does a movie driven by impulse. But here after I will focus on the story, and I wish this advice had come from a friend than someone who does not know me too well, but am glad I found a friend without having to seek one,” said Kareena Kapoor to NDTV.

Recently Hrithik Roshan confirmed the news that he was no longer a part of Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’. Kareena Kapoor said that she is disappointed that she longer might be a part of the movie.
