Actor Ranveer Singh, who played lead role in Vikramaditya Motwane's period drama ‘Lootera’, is disappointed that the critically acclaimed movie failed to get nominations at most of the awards functions.

Ranveer, who was appreciated for his performance in the film, is unhappy and disappointed that it failed to get nominated for this year's movie awards.

It is a technically superior film of all the films released last year. I think Vikramaditya Motwane deserved nomination for direction," Ranveer Singh said to PTI.

The actor feels the film should have at least been nominated in categories like - best director, best film, cinematography and best production design.

"Such a technically superior film missing from nominations is very surprising. So, yes it is disappointing. I am disappointed for the team," he said.

Added by harini on Feb 13, 2014

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, who will share screen space with Priyanka Chopra for the first time in ‘Gunday’ movie, said that Priyanka Chopra was an inspiration to work with.

“Rather than being intimidating, she is inspiring as her body of work speaks for itself. In other films, actors might be intimidated by her but looking at the kind of work she has done, you would become her fan,” said Arjun Kapoor to PTI.

“She gives one respect and she never makes you feel like you have done one-two-four number of films. If you combine mine and Ranveer's quota of work with Ali's, that is her yearly quota of work. She does not let that come in her way and that's the nicest part about her," he added.

I never thought Juhi as my competitor: Madhuri Dixit

Added by harini on Feb 12, 2014

Soumik Sen’s upcoming directorial debut movie ‘Gulaab Gang’ will see talented actresses Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla share the screen space for the very first time.

Though both the actresses were at their peak in the 90’s they never came together for a movie.

Earlier Juhi Chawla has said that the reason she never worked with Madhuri Dixit before was due to the fierce competition that existed between them.

But Madhuri Dixit said that she never thought of Juhi as a competitor and it was finally inspiring to work with her in the film, releasing on March 7.

“I never thought of her as my competitor. I never had any qualms about working with anyone. This is my thinking that we are actors not horses running towards one finish line. It is a creative field and we like certain roles and work with people we like. It is not that I have not worked in two-heroine projects earlier. I worked with Preity Zinta (Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke), Aishwarya Rai (Devdas) and Karisma Kapur (Dil Toh Pagal Hai)," Madhuri Dixit told PTI in an interview.

Madhuri Dixit said that it was inspiring to work alongside Juhi Chawla in ‘Gulaab Gang’.

“It is wonderful that we did a film together finally. She is a good actress. It is inspiring to see another good actress work with you. I think our scenes are very tight and I would definitely love to work with her again,” she said.
