I would love to do a movie based on sports: Ranbir Kapoor

Added by harini on Jul 17, 2012

Actor Ranbir Kapoor has played variety of roles in his short career. But the movie Ranbir Kapoor wants to be a part of the most is a movie based on sports.

“I would love to do a film on football, hockey, boxing, kabaddi or anything as long as it has an interesting story build upon it,” he said to IANS.

“A film is only made if there is an engaging story behind it. If you are just making a film for sports without an engaging story, then it doesn't matter,” he added.

The actor, who is a sports enthusiast, said that it was required that everyone indulges themselves in one sport or another, as it keeps them healthy.

“My favorite sport has been football. I love playing football, but now I don't get time to play football. I am upset about it because I also feel that to live a healthy lifestyle you must play a sport, you must be active,” he said.

“A healthy lifestyle comprises good sleep, good sport and good exercise,” he added.

Ranbir Kapoor, who is a part of NDTV and Nirmal Lifestyle's second year of 'Fit India Movement', said that it was great to see many celebrities like Bipasha Basu (Mumbai), Virender Sehwag (Delhi), Sania Mirza (Hyderabad), Baichung Bhutia (Kolkata), Mahesh Bhupathi (Bangalore) and Vijender Singh (Chandigarh) participate in the campaign as brand ambassadors.

“It's really interesting that all these people are coming together for this campaign to build a healthier country. I hope we will be successful,” he concluded.
