It’s with very heavy hearts we inform you that actor and wrestler Dara Singh passed away early this morning. He was 84.

The veteran, who suffered from severe brain hemorrhage, breathed his last at 7.30 am at his Mumbai residence, in presence of his family and friends.

The demise of Dara Singh was made public by his son Vidhu Dara Singh, who also informed that the last rites for the actor would be held at 2 PM today.

Dara Singh was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Saturday after he suffered from cardiac arrest. The actor was put on ventilator and underwent dialysis but the actor’s condition failed to improve and later he suffered severe brain hemorrhage.

Filmmaker Prakash Jha recently announced that he has started working on the hugely anticipated sequel to 2010 hit movie ‘Raajneeti’. Ever since then there have been questions raised about the lead cast for the sequel as the original boasted a star cast such as Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, Naseeruddin Shah and Sarah Thompason Kane.

The director confessed that it would be challenging to take the story forward but said that Katrina Kaif will have a central role in the sequel.

“It is very challenging to take the 'Raajneeti' story forward. Most of the main characters are dead. Two-thirds of the characters will be completely new. Katrina (Kaif) will have a central role,” said Prakash Jha to PTI.

The casting of Katrina in the original itself had come as a surprise, as many wondered if anglicized Katrina could manage to pull off a character like Indu Pratap and deliver long Hindi dialogues. But the actress surprised many with her performance and also went ahead to win Best Actress Award for the movie.

Just recently Saif Ali Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore confirmed that Saif Ali Khan will be tying knot with his long term girlfriend Kareena Kapoor on October 16.

But Saif Ali Khan, talking to HT, in an interview, said that a date hadn’t yet been fixed on the wedding.

“I haven’t fixed a date for my wedding! I’m yet to meet Kareena's parents to sort out the date ... the venue is also not finalized,” he said.

Previously, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor refused to confirm their wedding date and all they said was ‘It’s going to be a year-end wedding’.

When asked if the actor was excited about the wedding he said, “As for excitement, we’ve been together [for a while], so what’s new? I’m 41, not an 18-year-old!”

The recent trailer of one of the most anticipated movies ‘Barfi’ surprised one and all. While many expected the movie to have a serious undertone as it deals with characters who are deaf and dumb and autistic, the movie turned out to be fun filled yet heart touching.

The other thing noticed in trailer was that there were hardly any dialogues in it. But director Anurag Basu denies that his movie is a silent film.

“It’s not a silent film. The people who can speak in the film do talk. You have to understand that I have great actors who could convey a message without saying a word. What you saw in the trailer is what you can expect,” he said to PTI.

“Its not that there are no dialogues in the entire film. I did not think that I will make a silent film with no dialogues from beginning to end. Those who can speak have dialogues. I wanted that everyone should understand the story,” he added.

The director said that the specialty of the movie was that it only had few dialogues.

Actress Deepika Padukone has been paired opposite Saif Ali Khan for the third time in the movie ‘Cocktail’. In fact the chemistry between Deepika and Saif Ali Khan is said to be one of the main reasons for ‘Love Aaj Kal’ movie’s success.

Actress Deepika Padukone said that chemistry between her and Saif wasn't something that they had planned.

“I guess things like chemistry is between characters more than anything else. When we set out to do Love Aaj Kal we did not plan that we are going to have this chemistry. It just happened...it is something we did not expect or planned out. Sometimes, some things just fall in place,” she said.

“‘Cocktail’ is a second romantic-comedy that we are doing together with Illuminati Production. Our chemistry is something that’s not tangible...you either have it or don't. For the kind of films that we have acted in, we need to have it. In love stories it’s very important,” she added.

Other than Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone the movie ‘Cocktail’ also stars debutant actress Diana Penty. Deepika said that movie is a story revolving around these three characters.

Actor and wrestler Dara Singh, who rose to fame with his portrayal of Hanuman in Ram Anand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’, is said to be suffering from brain hemorrhage and can go into coma anytime.

The actor was rushed to Kokilaben Hospital on Saturday after the actor suffered from cardiac arrest. The actor underwent dialysis and the hospital released a medical bulletin stating that there was severe damage to brain.

“Kokilaben Hospital releases medical bulletin on Dara Singh says he is suffering from brain hemorrhage,” tweeted ABP News.

“Dara Singh can go into coma anytime: Kokilaben Hospital's medical bulletin,” they further added.

Recently Kareena Kapoor confirmed that she no longer was a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’. The actress had said that she had walked out of the movie because she couldn’t give the director the required extra dates for the movie.

But now the filmmaker has come out with his own version of the incident and said that Kareena Kapoor hadn’t walked out of the film but he had dropped her.

“A Juliet no matter how far removed from Shakespeare`s original vision of her cannot be a married woman. With images of her wedding festivities flashing all over, it would have been impossible for Kareena to pass herself as a Gujju Juliet despite her great talent,” said the director.

A friend close to Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that both the director and the actress walked away amicably.

“Sanjay holds no grudge against the actress although she was less than honest with him about her wedding plans,” said the friend.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha spent last weekend shooting for her item number in Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG Oh My God’ movie. The actress will feature in the song along with ace choreographer Prabhu Deva, who has choreographed this song.

“Every song is also being called an item number irrespective of what it is, but this is a special Gokulashtami song. Having Prabhu Deva in the same frame as me was the biggest catch; plus Akshay asked me to do it. He made me hear it and I immediately started dancing to it, so I knew it was a good one... I've been approached before for similar appearances and I've not done it because it has to be something which really clicks with me. I wouldn't do it just for the heck of it,” she said to a daily in an interview.

“Apoorva, who has quite an ear for music, is completely charmed by Priyanka's singing. But he is in no hurry to record with her. Since he starts shooting with her only in October, he can wait for her to finish her international album and then record his song with her,” said a source to a daily.
