The numbers speak for me: Asin

Added by harini on Jun 27, 2012

Actress Asin is only behind Kareena Kapoor when it comes to actresses with most number of 100 Crore movies in their kitties. Asin has been a part of three 100 Crore movies – ‘Ghajini’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Housefull 2’, while Kareena Kapoor has been a part of 4 movies – ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Golmaal 3’ and ‘Ra.One’.

Even with three 100 Crore movies out of the four she has been a part of, Asin isn’t spared of criticism. One of the most prominent criticisms coming her way is that in none of the movies Asin had a noteworthy role. But these criticisms don’t bother Asin.

“I didn’t come into the industry to be in history books. Every movie is a gamble for any actor and it’s a relief when it turns out to be a hit. But I’m not the kind to shout about my achievements from the rooftops,” she said to Hindustan Times in an interview.

“If there are 100 people, there will be 200 opinions and not all of them will be positive. Its okay, at the end of the day, the numbers speak for me,” she added.

The actress will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Bol Bachchan’, a remake of cult comedy classic ‘Gol Maal’. The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai in main leads.

People think I am a much better actor than I actually am: Abhishek Bachchan

Added by harini on Jun 26, 2012

It’s been a long time since Abhishek Bachchan delivered a hit at box-office. His hugely anticipated movies ‘Raavan’, ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, ‘Game’, ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ and most recent ‘Players’ all have been flops at the box-office.

The actor said that nobody ever plans on making flops and when they happen you just have to deal with them.

“I think you have to deal with it (flops). Thankfully, you carry on working. It is never nice to talk about it...It is never a pleasant experience. Nobody wants to make an unsuccessful film. Everybody works hard to make a film successful,” said Abhishek Bachchan to PTI.

“As an actor I made a conscious decision that I don`t want any excuses (for films not doing well). I don`t want to say the editor did not edit it properly or this or that person did not do their work properly. I don`t want to point fingers at anybody. I want complete responsibility by saying that I did everything that I could do,” he added.

The actor, who made his debut in 2000 with ‘Refugee’, said that people think he is a better actor than he actually is.

“I think I was given too much due. I think people think I am a much better actor than actually I am. I think I have lot more to do and improve. I think people are too kind to me,” he said.
