Shah Rukh Khan has issued a legal notice against a jewelry brand ‘Agni’ after they used his song ‘Chamak Challo’ from his upcoming movie Ra.One during a recently held fashion week.

The song ‘Chamak Challo’ featuring Kareena Kapoor and the R&B sensation Akon was leaked on internet four months ago. Agni has used the same fragment of the song when Amrita Rao walked the ramp.

“He was livid when he learnt that the unreleased number has been used by the brand. The scratch version of the song was leaked on the internet a few months ago, which was probably picked up by the jewellery brand. It is a very careless mistake. Surely they knew that the song requires license,” said a source close to Shah Rukh Khan.

Agni will not just be facing the wrath of Shah Rukh Khan but also of T-Series, which posses the rights for the song. T-Series have also sent Agni a legal notice demanding Rs.2 crores as compensation.

“One needs to get a license to use any song for a show. Moreover, for a song yet to be released, one cannot even obtain a license!” said Bhushan Kumar, head of T-Series.
