Ever since the movie the ‘The Dirty Picture’ has been announced it has been constantly in news due to its bold content.
Recently, the first theatrical trailer of the movie has been released which has added to already high anticipation among the audience. While the bold content of the movie is viewed as step forward in Indian Cinema by some, another set of audience have voiced their reservations about it.
The movie that’s based on the life of southern sex symbol Silk Smitha has the mostly unlikely heroine Vidya Balan essaying the role of ‘Silk Smitha’. The movie focuses on life of Silk Smith and her three men – one who lusts after her, one who loves her and another who hates her played by Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi respectively.
Silk Smitha whose real name is Vijayalakshmi raised to fame in southern industry due to her bold dance numbers and semi nude appearances in few movies. Due to her portrayals in the movie she earned the title of a soft porn actress. At the age of 35 she was mysteriously found dead in her apartment.
The movie ‘The Dirty Picture’ is being directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor. The movie will release on December 26th.
