Madhur Bhandarkar whose dream project ‘Heroine’ ran into road blocks after just a week’s shooting, is now back on track with Kareena Kapoor.
“'HEROINE’ is back on track, pre-production starts from today, need your blessings & prayers!!!” Madhur tweeted.
The movie had to be shelved for a while due to its lead actress, Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy, who had shot for the movie for a week and had also promoted it in 64th Cannes Film Festival.
Madhur Bhandarkar later approached his original choice for the movie Kareena Kapoor, who agreed to replace Aishwarya Rai.
The movie is about an actress Mahi Khanna, who was once a successful actress but whose career is now on decline. The lead actress role is rumored to be modeled after the divas like Marilyn Monroe and Madhubala.
The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Arunoday Singh, Shahana Goswami and Amrita Raichand.
