The acclaimed Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai today morning after he suffered from brain hemorrhage. The maestro immediately underwent surgery but his condition is still said to be very critical.
The editor of Mid Day paper, Sachin Kalbag has tweeted, "Yes, it is true that noted singer Jagjit Singh suffered a brain hemorrhage. Was operated upon atLilavatiHospital. Condition is critical."
According to the doctors, the hemorrhage might have occurred as a result of the blood thinning medication he was on due to his heart ailment.
The 70 year old singer is still is ICU and his condition is said to be very critical.
