Shahid Kapur and Anushka Sharma, whose on screen chemistry was appreciated in the movie ‘Badmaash Company’, have been paired opposite each other in Maneesh Sharma's next movie.

Maneesh Sharma made his directorial debut with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ which starred Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. He is currently working on his second movie ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ which also stars Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh.

Simultaneously Maneesh Sharma is working on script for his third movie in which he is keen to cast his favorite Anushka Sharma and Shahid Kapur.

"The last time that Anushka and Shahid worked together was in the YRF production, ‘Badmaash Company’. Their on-screen chemistry was so convincing that many thought that it stemmed from an off-screen romance. And after watching Shahid's performance in Mausam, YRF and Maneesh decided that Anushka and Sasha were an apt pair for the film”, said source to TOI.

"The film has been scripted by Jaideep Sahni, who also wrote the scripts of the three blockbusters – ‘Chak De’, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Bunty Aur Babli’," added the source.

Even though YRF spokesperson confirmed the news of Maneesh Sharma working on script of his third movie, he denied the news of casting Shahid Kapur and Anushka Sharma in it.

"Maneesh is still shooting ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’. He will complete his next script and finalize the cast after the release of ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’, on December 9”, he said.

But the source maintains that Shahid and Anushka have been cast as the leads and they are working on dates to accommodate this movie.

The movie will apparently go on floors early next year.
