The actor Salman Khan is keen on not breaking his lucky streak at box office during Eid season. The actor’s previous Eid releases Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010) and Bodyguard (2011) have enjoyed immense success at box office and went on to become top grossing Bollywood movies of all time.
Keeping this in mind, the makers of Salman Khan’s next movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ have decided to push the release date of the movie from 1st, June, 2012 to Eid season.
“Eid is considered a lucky time for Salman as his previous films, Wanted, Dabangg and Bodyguard, managed to cash in on the festival hype and rake in the moolah at the box office.” said a source at Yash Raj Films.
According to insiders another reason for the postponement is that, Aamir Khan’s upcoming Reema Kagti movie is said to be releasing around same time and Aamir Khan has requested Salman Khan to postpone the release of his movie as he doesn’t want to clash with Salman Khan at the box office.
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ features Katrina Kaif opposite Salman Khan. The movie is being directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra.
