Aishwarya Rai’s baby shower (Godh Bharai) held on October 18 in their home ‘Jalsa’ was a star studded affair.

Many Bollywood celebrities like Saira Banu, Asha Parekh, Dimple Kapadia, Bipasha Basu, Urmila Matondkar, Twinkle Khanna, Sonali Bendre, Manyata Dutt, Ritu Nanda, Neetu Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Mana Shetty, Vaibhavi Merchant, Poonam Sinha and Karan Johar, as well as designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and designers like Neeta Lulla and Shaina NC, among others attended the ceremony.

Abhishek Bachchan, who was busy shooting for ‘Bol Bachchan’ in Jaipur, took a day off and attended his wife’s ‘Godh Bharai’. Amitabh Bachchan though was missing as he is currently in Australia shooting for the movie ‘The Great Gatsby’.

Jaya Bachchan personally received all her guests. The Bandra house was decorated with flowers, and was packed with people in the afternoon.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore an orange-colored Indian ensemble for the occasion and many guests thought that she looked gorgeous.

"Aishwarya was looking like a chand ka tukda. She was looking beautiful. We wish Abhishek and Aishwarya all the best," said Saira Banu.

"I have never seen so many celebrity women together. All the women went up to Aishwarya and blessed her. Jayaji received each guest personally and was very warm. Even her daughter, Shweta, gave personal attention to everyone. There were a lot of songs and celebration," said Saroj Khan, who was one of the guests at the ceremony.

“Aishwarya looked pretty in orange. Her face had such a glow. She was decorated with mogra flowers. Even Abhishek looked extremely happy. God bless them both and may the child have a long life," she added.
