The recent reports that Aishwarya Rai has opted to undergo C-section to have her baby on the auspicious date of 11.11.11, have infuriated Abhishek Bachchan.
“It’s a great piece of fictional writing. It’s ridiculous to suggest that I’d induce my wife to go through a Caesarean so our baby would be born on a particular day. I just want her to have a healthy, safe and as comfortable a delivery as possible. Whenever God decides our baby is to be born, we’ll welcome him or her with open arms. We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy, all we want is a healthy child. And all this about my wife carrying twins is completely untrue,” he said to a daily.
Ever since Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy was announced by Amitabh Bachchan on Twitter, the ‘much awaited baby of Bollywood’ has been surrounded by numerous controversies. Earlier it was reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had gone to a special clinic to ensure to conceive a baby boy. Recently, it’s been rumored that the Bachchan family has been performing many rituals and have been consulting pundits so that all is well.
“I don’t believe in numerology or astrology,” snapped Abhishek Bachchan.
Abhishek Bachchan is not yet over the report suggesting that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had to marry a tree before marrying Abhishek as she is ‘Manglik’.
“As my father pointed out, if this was true, would someone please show us this tree too.’ I’m fighting that out in court,” he said.
Abhishek Bachchan is currently busy dubbing for, first big release of 2012, ‘Players’. The movie, which is an official remake of ‘Italian Job’, is slated for January 6 2012 release and the first look of the movie was released recently.
“One of the reasons I accepted the film was for the directors Abbas-Mustan. The other because I had grown up watching and loving the original. But the trailer doesn’t remind you of The Italian Job; it promises a ‘Masala’ Hindi movie. This is an exciting time in my life,” he said.
