Silk Smitha’s brother, Vadlapatla Naga Vara Prasad, has made it clear that he isn’t happy about the way his sister is being portrayed in the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’.
Recently he sent a legal notice to the movie director Milan Luthria and producer Ekta Kapoor for making their movie ‘The Dirty Picture’ based on the life story of southern sex symbol Silk Smitha’s life without permission for the family.
On Tuesday, Vara Prasad moved to Andhra Pradesh High Court to without the release of the movie and accused the filmmakers of making the movie without the family's consent or knowledge.
"Going by the news reports appearing in newspapers and telecast by the TV channels, the movie is based on my sister's life. Her character has been portrayed in the most obscene manner. Such scenes must be removed before its release", he said in the petition.
Ekta Kapoor was quick to respond to the petition and filed caveat petitions in nearly 20 cities across the country to request that no petition against release of the film should be entertained without their knowledge.
Vara Prasad’s petition was not admitted in the court.
"I received intimation from courts in various cities including Mumbai,Hyderabad,Delhi, Chennai,Bangalore,Vijayawadaand Eluru (hometown)", he said to Mumbai Mirror.
