Sonakshi Sinha will be reprising her debut role as ‘Rajjo’ in the upcoming ‘Dabangg’ sequel, that’s set to go on floors in March 2012.
It was earlier stated that in the sequel the movie would either forward and Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey would become parents or go into flashback mode. But it was recently confirmed that the story line will move forward. This would mean that Sonakshi Sinha will be playing a role of a mother.
“I don’t think I can divulge too much about a film that’s yet to go on floors. Arbaaz (director, producer and script writer) may not like it. We have to try and keep as much as we can under wraps till the film’s release, next Christmas,” said Sonakshi Sinha to a leading daily.
“Since I was shown pregnant in the last few frames of the film, I’m quite sure I’ll be playing mommy to Chulbul Jr. Actually, I wouldn’t mind if he also sports a moustache like his handsome father!” she adds.
The actress had earlier signed on to play a glamorous role for the first time in ‘Race 2’ and was keen on her image makeover but had to opt out of the movie as the dates were pushed forward.
“I feel bad. I agreed to do the film, but it got delayed, and I moved out. Dabangg 2 was announced soon after,” she said.
The actress will once again be seen as a village girl in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’. The movie will be followed by periodic romance ‘Lootera’ with Ranveer Singh in December.
“Then, I’m back to my saris in Dabangg 2,” she concluded.
