Thanks to Arjun Rampal, Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming movie ‘Heroine’ wont just be a story about a popular actress but now will be a love story between an actress and an actor.
Apparently Arjun Rampal had long discussions with the producers at UTV and the director Madhur Bhandarkar, where he suggested few changes in the script. These suggestions were duly accepted and incorporated into the film.
Unlike many actors who deny making suggestions about the script, Arjun Rampal accepts that he did suggest a few changes in the script.
"I did make some suggestions which I thought were for the betterment of the film. They were kind enough to accept these changes," said Arjun Rampal.
"I don't mind doing heroine-oriented films. I've done one with Kareena in the past (We Are Family). But at this point in my career I cannot do supporting roles. Heroine is basically a love story between the actress and the actor played by me. It's a challenge for me because I've never played an actor before," he added.
It’s also said that Arjun Rampal had made it clear to the makers of the movie that he should be projected as the solo male lead of the cinema.
Surely when contacted Siddharth Roy Kapoor, CEO UTV Motion Pictures, he said, "Arjun Rampal is the male lead in ‘Heroine’. The other actors play supporting parts."
Arjun Rampal started shooting for the movie today, which also happens to be his birthday.
