One of the most anticipated movies of this month ‘Don 2’ will release two days early in UK before its December 23rd release  in India and other countries.

Shah Rukh Khan confirmed this news and said that it was because the makers wanted to compensate for Christmas Holidays.

“Most cinemas shut shop during Christmas, only a few showing Hindi films remain open. Don 2 is a big movie so it’s important to make up the box-office numbers with a Wednesday release,” said Shah Rukh Khan to a daily

Piracy has been a growing problem around the world that has been affecting the movie business. Though Shah Rukh Khan admits that piracy is a big problem he said he was optimistic that people would watch ‘Don 2’ in theater.

“But even in India, over the last two years, people prefer watching a movie, particularly a 3D one, in a theatre rather than at home,” he said.

“Today, it’s not just about watching movies but experiencing cinema,” he added.

Shah Rukh is also unfazed with the stiff competition he will have from theHollywoodmovie ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’ that stars Tom Cruise and our own Anil Kapoor.

“Hollywood movies have a niche market here, and are yet to take overIndia. We’re perhaps the only filmmaking country where the audience for regional movies is bigger than that for English ones,” he concluded.
