‘Ayyare’, which has Rajendra Prasad in the lead role, has finally got the censor clearance yesterday. The censor board had objected about the content and few scenes in the film earlier due to the petition filed by Swami Nithyananda. The spiritual guru had lodged a complaint in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh challenging the film’s release as he felt that the content of the movie is targeted towards him.

The court had dismissed his plea earlier this week and the censor board has cleared the censor formalities upon the intervention of AP Film Chamber. The film received U/A certificate and will hit the screens on December 30.

Sai Kumar and Sivaji play pivotal roles in the film. The film marks the debut of director Shekar Chandru. The film is jointly produced by Ranganna, Achchappa and Dr Sudhakar Babu. Rajendra Prasad is essaying the role of a swamiji in this film.
