Dev Anand’s iconic movie ‘Guide’ will be re-released in the honor of the late actor.
Dev Anand’s son Suneil said that an American company had already restored the movie and currently it’s been converted to wide screen.
“An American company has restored Guide. It's being converted to wide screen and we will do a fresh soundtrack, maybe in the Czech Republic (where full scale orchestras are available to undertake such challenges at reasonable cost),” he said.
The movie ‘Guide’ is not just considered as the best movie in Dev Anand’s but also as one of the best movies in Bollywood. Dev Anand’s performance as Raju, the tourist guide, remains one of the best performances till date. The movie also features the veteran actor Waheeda Rehman. The movie was scripted and directed by Dev Anand's younger brother, Vijay.
The fans of the movie and Dev Anand will except nothing but best from the re-release of the movie and Dev Anand’s son Suneil understands the expectations.
“It's a big, big responsibility, the world is watching me, I will have to live up to their expectations,” he said.
He said that it “would take us six or eight months to complete.”
Suneil also plans to complete other unfinished works of Dev Anand Saab too.
