The actress Priyanka Chopra admitted that the director Madhur Bhandarkar had approached her for his most ambitious project yet ‘Heroine’ but the actress dint want to do the film due to its similarities with her previous movie with the director ‘Fashion’.
“Madhur and I did talk about 'Heroine'. For me, however, it would have been like a Bollywood version of 'Fashion'. Kareena is the perfect choice. She's such a brilliant actor,” Priyanka told ETC's 'Bollywood Business' host and trade analyst Komal Nahta on his show.
“As a filmmaker, Madhur brings out the best in any actor, and Kareena's such a superior one,” she added.
The movie ‘Heroine’ was previously offered to Aishwarya Rai, who had even shot for the movie for 10 days. But later she revealed that she was pregnant and Madhur Bhandarkar decided to replace Aishwarya Rai with his original choice for the movie Kareena Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor recently started shooting for the movie.
The movie is expected to wrap up by middle of next year and release by the end of 2012.
