The super success of south movies has spawned a lot of interest among Bollywood filmmakers.

Now, it’s the turn of Balakrishna’s 2004 hit film ‘Lakshmi Naasimha’ to be remade in Hindi as ‘Thanedaar Returns’. Sanjay Dutt is going to portray the role of Balakrishna in this film. Not only that, the actor is also showing his interest to produce the film in Hindi. Popular director from south KS Ravi Kumar is going to make his debut in Bollywood as a director with this remake.

The makers have approached a popular actress for the heroine’s role. Currently, the discussions are going on about the changes in the script. An official announcement on this film will be out shortly. Right now, Sanjay Dutt is busy promoting his new film ‘Agneepath’, which is slated for release on January 26.

Originally, ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’ is the remake of super hit Tamil film ‘Saamy’ featuring Vikram and Trisha. The film was a runaway hit when it released in 2003.
