Priyanka Chopra’s movie ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ might not have been successful commercially but the movie did end up fetching Priyanka Chopra a prestigious award. The actress, who played the role of a femme fatale in the movie, received Screen award for the best actress in a negative role recently.
The actress also confessed that she likes doing negative roles over positive roles as she thinks grey characters have a bit more edge than positive characters.
“I like doing negative roles. I think they are lots of fun. It's so good being bad,” she said.
This isn’t the first time that the actress has essayed a negative role. Previously the actress played a negative character in movie ‘Aitraaz’, which ended up fetching her Filmfare Award.
The actress also said that she wouldn’t mind playing a small role as long as the role had substance.
“I think the most important thing in a character to see that it has a presence. A character should not feel wasted or redundant. Even if it is a small role, the scenes that you have should make an impact, that is important,” she said.
Priyanka Chopra’s next release is ‘Agneepath’ alongside Hrithik Roshan. The movie is directed by debutant director Karan Malhotra and will release on January 26th.
The actress is also currently busy shooting for ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ with Shahid Kapoor, ‘Barfee’ with Ranbir Kapoor and ‘Krrish 3’ with Hrithik Roshan.
