As if the cast for ‘Race 2’ wasn’t already star studded with the likes of Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu, the makers are now planning in on roping Sanjay Dutt for the movie.
“Nothing is finalised as yet, but talks are on (with makers). We will see how things go,” said Sanjay Dutt to a leading daily.
Sanjay Dutt has been in news lately thanks to his sinister look in his upcoming movie ‘Agneepath’, where he plays the very memorable role of Kancha Cheena, which was essayed by Danny Denzongpa in original ‘Agneepath’ (1920).
Sanjay Dutt said that he dint try to recreate Kancha played by Danny but tried to play Kancha the way his director Karan Malhotra had envisioned it.
“Danny sahab is a great actor and I have the highest regard for him. There’s no pressure because I have not tried to copy anyone. I am portraying Kaancha Cheena the way he should be depicted. As a matter of fact, he is just Kaancha without Cheena as a surname. I have portrayed Karan Malhotra’s vision of Kaancha. I am not scared at all about comparisons,” he said.
Sanjay Dutt will soon start working on another Amitabh Bachchan movie remake ‘Satte Pe Satta (1982)’, in which he will play the role previously played by Amitabh Bachchan himself.
When asked if he would be meeting the actor for any tips, he said, “I met Mr Bachchan as soon as I signed the film. I hope I live up to everyone's expectations.”
Aside from his acting career, Sanjay Dutt has joined hands with Shilpa Shetty’s hubby Raj Kundra to launch Super Fight League (SFL), a martial arts competition. Sanjay Dutt confessed that he has a jam packed schedule at present.
“Yes, I have several things to do. I have kids and a wife besides a busy schedule. I have to plan out things. I have decided that even if I can’t come to Mumbai, Raj should brief me about work on SFL,” concluded the actor.
