A special screening of the movie ‘Gali Gali Chor Hai’ was held for anti-graft advocate Anna Hazare in his native village, Ralegan Siddhi.
The cast and the crew of the movie including Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Mugdha Godse and the movie director Rumi Jafferey and producers Nitin Manmohan and Sanjay Punamija were present at the screening along with Anna Hazare supporters.
“Anna saw the entire film which ended at around 10 pm and expressed satisfaction over it,” said Datta Awari, Anna supporter, to PTI.
“Anna agreed to watch the film despite ill health as it deals with corruption,” he added.
The movie that stars Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Mugdha Godse deals with a common man’s struggle against corruption.
“Gali Gali Chor Hai is a political satire about a common man's fight against corruption. So, it makes sense to show it to Anna Hazare who has become the national face of a common man fighting corruption,” said a unit member.
The movie will hit the screens on February 3rd.
