Ranbir, Vidya, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sweep Filmfare awards

After winning the Best Actor and Best Actress award for ‘Rockstar’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’ at recently held Zee Cine Awards, actor Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan have bagged the Bollywood’s most prestigious awards, The Filmfare Award for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively.

It was a double win situation for Ranbir Kapoor, who not only won the Best Actor award in popular category but also in critics category. Vidya Balan though lost out to actress Priyanka Chopra in critics category. Priyanka Chopra won for her portrayal of a woman who murders her 7 husbands in the movie ‘7 Khoon Maaf’.

The movie ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin and directed by Zoya Akhtar was the most awarded movie, winning 7 most popular awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Movie (Critics), Best Supporting Actor Male and Best Dialogue.

It was closely followed by 'Rockstar', which notched up 5 awards.
