The movie ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, is one of the most eagerly anticipated movies this February. If the trailers are anything to go by, then the movie seems to be filled with romance and fun.
But what’s noticeable from the trailers of the movie is the similarity between Kareena Kapoor’s character in this movie with that of Geet from ‘Jab We Met’. Actress Kareena Kapoor though denies the similarities.
“The two characters are totally different. Geet was a childish, naive Punjabi girl, whereas Riana is very urban. The character is as mad and free-spirited as Geet, but Riana knows what she is doing. Even though she doesn't have a house or a job, she is a positive person... very similar to the way I am. I've been positive in every situation, be it my career, personal life or my relationships,” said the actress in an interview with a daily.
It is the first time that Kareena Kapoor has been paired opposite Imran Khan. It is also the first that Kareena will be romancing a younger hero and Kareena Kapoor said that this was a conscious decision.
“Yes. I've been working with 40+ heroes for a while now, so I wanted to work with a younger hero. Imran and I make a unique pair; he has brought freshness to my repertoire. Everyone's talking about our chemistry,” she said.
The crackling chemistry between her and Imran Khan has impressed producer Karan Johar so much that he is planning on making another movie with the same lead pair. So when is that movie happening?
“Only if this film does well will we have some plans,” Kareena said.
The actress is also working along side Imran Khan’s mamu Aamir Khan. With whom did she have more fun?
“I loved working with Imran, but I am biased towards Aamir because he gave me 3 Idiots, one of the biggest hits of my career,” she said.
The actress can next be seen alongside her beau Saif Ali Khan in his home production ‘Agent Vinod’. The release date of the movie has been finally finalized as March 23rd.
So now that the movie release date has been finalized, has she set her wedding date with Saif Ali Khan?
“Right now, all our energies are on Agent Vinod. There are no shaadi plans!” she concluded.
