Rana Daggubati opted out of his maiden Tamil film titled ‘Vada Chennai’. The reason the actor cited was lack of importance of his character in the movie. However, the actor parted ways on a mutual consent. He told the Vetrimaran, director of the film, that he will work with him in near future.

The film has Silambarasan in the lead role and Rana agreed to play special pivotal role in this movie after hearing the storyline. Initially, the actor participated in the film’s photo shoot and workshops but later on realized that his character is very limited and opined that he might not get any recognition.

On the other side, Vetrimaran – the National award winning director has started looking out for a replacement of Rana. Currently, Rana is busy shooting for his new film ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’, which is progressing in and around Hyderabad.
