After eight years of courtship Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza tied the knot today in grand and traditional Marathi wedding.

The excited groom was the first to break the news on Twitter as he wrote, “MR & MRS DESHMUKH.”

The wedding was a grand affair and the biggest names in both movie and political world were present.

Movie stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sajid Nadiadwala, Satish Shah, Asin, Jacky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Ramesh Taurani, Nishka and Neeta Lulla attended the wedding and blessed the happy couple.

The political members who attended the wedding included Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel, Subodh Kant Sahay, Sunil Tatkare and Johny Joseph.

The wedding ceremonies lasted 3 days and included sangeet, haldi, mehndi ceremonies and a traditional bachelorette party for Genelia.

A grand reception will take place tomorrow evening.
