After a lot of speculation the female lead of Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’, has been finally finalized.
Contrary to the reports it won’t be Katrina Kaif but Deepika Padukone who will play the romantic interest of Rajinikanth in the movie.
This news was confirmed by Rajinikanth’s daughter and director of the film Soundarya on Twitter.
"Guys. Deepika padukone confirmed to play appa s pair in Kochadaiyaan :) great to have you back with us @deepikapadukone :):) big hug!" she tweeted.
Earlier it was reported that the makers of the movie had approached Katrina Kaif with the role. It was also reported that the actress was interested to do the movie.
But it’s Deepika Padukone who has been finally signed for the film. Deepika had previously been signed for Rajinikanth’s ‘Rana’ as well.
The movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’ is the first movie in India to use 3D performance capturing technology. It would be worth mentioning that it was the same technology used by James Cameron for his ‘Avatar’.
The movie’s story, dialogues and screenplay have been written by KS Ravikumar, who will start the work on his directorial venture ‘Rana’ once ‘Kochadaiyaan’ is completed.
The movie is been shot at a fast pace as the makers are keen to release it in August 2012.
