Deepika Padukone walking out of ‘Race 2’ in the last minute hasn’t gone down well with the movie producer Ramesh Taurani, who has in fact gone ahead and decided to take legal action against the actress.

The producer has filed a complaint with Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) and Association of Motion Pictures & TV Programme Producer of India (AMPTPP).

Deepika Padukone has been sent a notice by CINTAA. If the actress fails to respond to the notice, the case then passes on to the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). If she still fails to address, the artist is then liable to face a Non-Cooperation Directive.

The reason for Deepika Padukone leaving the project is she was offered a Hollywood movie. If Taurani manages to win this case Deepika Padukone wouldn’t be able to work on any other project on the dates she allotted to ‘Race 2’ in first place.

“If Taurani has filed a complaint against Deepika, she will have to honor the dates which she had allotted to him. If she has given the same dates to any other producer, she cannot shoot for the other project,” said senior producer Pahlaj Nihalani.

Ramesh Taurani has said that this was the first time he has had a dispute with any actor in the industry.

“Our directors and the other actors are extremely annoyed with her. Tips as a company in its last 25 years has never had a dispute with anyone in this industry, there is no single case in the association which involves us,” he said.

The movie stars Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and Amisha Patel. The movie is scheduled to release in month of November.
