Actor Govinda made a successful comeback with the movie ‘Partner’ few years ago. But after that movie Govinda tasted little success as he delivered a string of flops. This led one to believe that Govinda’s career was over.

But the actor refuses to quit and has recently signed a movie called ‘Avatar’, to be directed by his friend and mentor Pahlaj Nihalani.

“Govinda and I are lucky for each other. We had hugely successful films in Aankhen and Shola Aur Shabnam. Currently neither of us is on top; but I believe that when we get together (as we have in Avatar) we will come up with something interesting,” said Nihalani to a daily.

Govinda confirmed the news and said, “After Shola Aur Shabnam and Aankhen, it's great to work with Pahlajji again. It is Pahlajji's subject and we are working hard on it.”

It was under the production of Pahlaj Nihalani that Govinda delivered his first hit ‘Ilzaam’.

“When I started my work, there was the same kind of atmosphere. We enjoy working together. It's been so many years, but things haven't changed for us,” he said.

The actor, who said goodbye to his unsuccessful political career, said that he is working hard on his body.

“I have been working hard on my weight, and have lost 28 kgs. Now that we have started shooting for the movie, I feel I should lose even more weight. I feel that one has to keep on improving constantly, there is no way out of it,” he concluded.
