Aamir Khan to reshoot 'Talaash' climax after watching Vidya's 'Kahaani'

Few days ago news that Aamir Khan’s new movie ‘Talaash’ release has been postponed broke out. The reason given was that Aamir Khan, who is making his TV debut at the same time, wouldn't be available for promotions.

But according to an inside source, the main reason for the postponement is that Aamir Khan isn’t happy with the way movie’s climax has come out and being the perfectionist that he is, he is planning on re-shooting the entire climax scene.

The thing that seems to have changed Aamir Khan’s mind about the climax is Vidya Balan’s ‘Kahaani’. It’s rumored that the basic plotline of both the movies is similar and after watching ‘Kahaani’ Aamir Khan wanted to tweak ‘Talaash’s’ climax.

“The film was almost ready for release as the shooting of the film was complete and even major post production job was done. But it’s a suspense-thriller where the plot of the film is crucial for the film’s success. So when ‘Kahaani’ released, which is also a thriller, it’s storyline seemed kind of similar to ‘Talaash’s’, which is again a story based on the search of a missing person. So, even if the film is different in terms it’s plot, Aamir apparently wants to change the climax, make it crispier and edgier,” said a source to a daily.

“Being the perfectionist that he is, Aamir is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his film has something new to offer to his audience. A gap between two films of the same genre is also crucial. If the release time between these films is less, it could adversely affect his film, hence the decision of postponing the film was for the best,” the source added.

‘Talaash’ directed by Reema Kagti also stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. Aamir Khan co-produces the movie along with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

The movie that was to be released on June 1, 2012 will now release on November 30, 2012.
