Kareena Kapoor might have 4 movies that have earned over 100 crores at the box-office under her belt and might have worked with all of the Khan’s in Bollywood but its  currently Vidya Balan who is capturing the audience with her phenomenal performances in her movies.

But Kareena Kapoor said that she wasn’t threatened by Vidya Balan’s success as she and Vidya Balan were completely different actresses.

“Vidya has been doing parallel cinema and it’s impressive that she is getting mainstream response at the box office for these films. She is doing great work. Vidya and I are different though. We do different kind of films. I have done ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Omkara’. What means the most to me is Box office success. It is more important for me than awards. I have always done entertaining films. Even 'Heroine' has enough glamour in it. I feel there is enough room for different actors. Audiences have different tastes,” she said.

With movies like ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’ Vidya Balan has shown to the world that she is more than capable of carrying a movie on her shoulders and not just be a glamour quotient in the movie.

Her movie ‘Kahaani’, which released on March 9, has earned Rs 43.05 crore since its release. Made on a budget of Rs 8 crore, the movie has gone on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.

“Generally, most films register a 50% to 70% decline in the second week, but the decline in this case was around 25%, which is remarkable,” tweeted analyst Taran Adarsh.
