Bollywood finally seems to be taking interest in adapting the life and times of legendary sportspersons into movies.

After movies ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ based on the lives of legendary athletes Paan Singh Tomar and Milkha Singh respectively, a movie based on life of hockey legend Dhayan Chand will be made.

The role of Dhayan Chand will be played by Shah Rukh Khan.

“Yes, I have been approached for a movie based on the legendary Dhyan Chandji’s life. Hockey, as a sport, isn’t new to me since I have been an athlete throughout my school and college life, and I’ve especially played a lot of hockey,” confirmed Shah Rukh Khan to a daily.

During his school days at St Columba’s, Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan had captained football and hockey teams. He even played cricket on zonal and national level.

Any further details on the movie haven’t yet been disclosed.
