Actor Akshay Kumar, whose recent release ‘Housefull 2’ has been raking moolah at the box-office, is gearing up for the release of his next movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’.
Akshay Kumar, who started his career with action flicks and earned the title of ‘Khiladi’, is making a comeback into action movies with this film after seven years and after a string of comedies.
“I am thankful to the cinema-goers and to the people who have watched my promo; thank you very much for liking it and thank you for giving me boost that I am trying to do action after seven years, which is a very big deal for me!” said Akshay Kumar during his appearance in the tv reality show ‘Dance India Dance 3’.
Akshay Kumar said that it was difficult to dance to the steps of ace choreographer Prabhu Deva.
“Whatever he tells me, I go and rehearse it. We start rehearsing one week before. His steps are not so easy that you can do it immediately on the sets. Whatever steps he tells me I practice it and then do it finally,” he said.
The movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’ is directed by Prabhu Deva and stars Sonakshi Sinha in lead role. The movie will release on June 1.
When asked if Akshay Kumar hopes that his movie ‘Housefull 2’ joins the 100 crores club as it has already garnered Rs.50 crore in just four days, he said, “It has been a hard battle in four days. So let's hope everything goes well. It's everybody's hard work together. It's a team work from Sajid Khan to (producer) Sajid Nadiadwala.”
