Actress Kareena Kapoor has just completed shooting for an item song and a scene in Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Rowdy Rathore’.

If the reports are to be believed then Kareena Kapoor is doing the cameo in the movie free of cost for her very good friends Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shabinaa Khan, who produce the movie.

“I have done the cameo for Shabinaa and Sanjay. Both are very dear to me,” confirmed actress Kareena Kapoor.

Shabinaa and Kareena have been friends for years. So, when designer-turned-producer approached Kareena to play a cameo, Kareena Kapoor agreed immediately. Kareena Kapoor first met Shabinaa when she was dating Shahid Kapoor and Shabinaa was his designer. When Shahid and Kareena broke up, Shabinaa cut off her relationship with Shahid Kapoor and remained friends with Kareena Kapoor.

The song and the scene were shot in Filmcity last week. No details, except that Kareena plays a glamorous role, have been released as the makers want to keep Kareena Kapoor’s cameo under wraps and want it to be a surprise element in the film.

The movie is directed by choreographer turned director Prabhu Deva. The movie is scheduled to release on June 1, 2012.
