One of the biggest questions doing rounds in Bollywood is, who will star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’.

Previously it was rumored that it would Kareena Kapoor, who will feature in the movie. But the actress had to opt out of the movie due to her hectic schedule.

Ever since then, the two names doing rounds are Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

While few sources insist that it’s Katrina Kaif who will star in the movie, others insist that it is Deepika Padukone.

“In principle, Katrina has confirmed to act in the film, though the paperwork is yet to be completed. But that's nothing to worry about,” said one source to a daily.

But according to Katrina Kaif’s friend, the actress doesn’t have enough dates to accommodate the movie.

“Katrina is already committed to Vijay Krishna Acharya's racy thriller franchisee. She can't possibly have dates for Rohit's film,” said a close friend of the actress.

Another source states that Deepika Padukone is pretty much confirmed for the movie and the announcement will be made soon.

“Deepika Padukone is 'more or less confirmed'. The paperwork is pending until the dates are chalked out. Once that's done, the film's makers will make an official announcement,” another source said.

It remains to be seen whether Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif win this race.
