One of the most eagerly anticipated movies in Bollywood is the movie that brings Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor together. Being real life cousins the duo can’t be paired up romantically. Both have previously shown keen interest to act with one another but had made a clear point that they would play brother and sister on screen if they found the perfect script.

And seems like Zoya Akhtar has come up with that perfect script as the duo has agreed to play the lead roles of brother and sister in her next movie.

“Both Ranbir and Kareena were always aware that they couldn't pair romantically for any film. So for them to come together for any project, it needed to have an extraordinary script. Zoya narrated the idea to Kareena while she was shooting for Talaash. Kareena immediately loved it. Ranbir too has given it his consent. The film will now go on floors by the end of this year,” said a source to a leading daily.

Zoya Akhtar, who has been working on the script for a long time, recently completed the script.

Previously too the brother-sister idea has been explored in Bollywood in movies like ‘Hare Ram Hare Krishna’ and ‘Josh’.

“Zoya will be reviving the brother-sister relationship genre. And she has now managed to cast real life siblings Ranbir and Kareena for it,” the source added.

Zoya Akhtar’s last release ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’ was a huge box-office hit so the expectations from this Kareena and Ranbir starrer will be sky high.
