Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai looked gorgeous yesterday when she attended 2012 amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS gala dinner at Hotel Du Cap in Cannes.
The actress wore stunning off-white georgette chikan sari with sequins and zardozi borders and teamed it up with a multi colored silk embroidered zardozi blouse, which is the masterpiece by ace designers Abu Jain and Sandeep Khosla.
The actress has been in news lately for her weight issues but the actress has shut her critic’s mouths in style by looking slimmer and stunning on the red carpet.
This is Aishwarya Rai’s 12th appearance in Cannes, as she is the brand ambassador for L'Oreal products.
Aishwarya Rai took her 6 month old baby to Cannes with her but the baby dint make her appearance alongside her mommy.
When asked how was she able to change personal and professional lives she said, “I'm not complaining as this has been a way of life for so long now, from your adult life till the time that you have stepped out, working, multi-tasking round the clock.”
“People talk about sleepless nights, but that is the way we live our lives. Can't be complaining about it when it comes to your baby,” she added to a daily.
The actress said that it was easier for her to make her appearance in Cannes this year.
“This time it was easier to make my trip here and my appearances at the film festival because I'm not filming right now. So I could work it into my schedule. It is about the cause and helping raise funds. I have brought a drape from Abu and Sandeep to auction off here and contribute to the cause,” she said.
Aishwarya Rai’s appearance in Cannes was much spoken about and her wardrobe was a closely guarded secret. Many were of opinion that actress shouldn’t be walking red carpet of Cannes this year due her post pregnancy weight. But the actress has proven them wrong.
