Karan Johar’s birthday bash is one of the most widely covered news in the media for the past few days. Karan’s birthday bash has been in news for various reasons and one of the main reasons is Priyanka Chopra being invited to the bash.
“First of all, who said PC wasn’t invited? I never commented. She has always been on this (guest list). I have had a very warm and wonderful professional equation with Priyanka. She is very much on the list,” said Karan Johar to HT.
Karan Johar and Priyanka Chopra had fallout recently when the actress criticized the filmmaker indirectly in an interview. The filmmaker had retailed by posting a tweet about the interview and Priyanka yet not taking her name.
The director though confessed to the fallout said that with age he has realized that such issues shouldn’t be dragged on
“When you turn 40, the first sign of hitting that age bracket is gaining maturity and ironing out issues in your life. I have realized that it’s the only way to live life,” he said.
“We have worked together in Dostana (2008) and Agneepath (2012), two standing pieces that have done very well for us. So, there’s no reason why anything should change now or in the future,” he added.
Karan Johar is celebrating his 40th birthday in a big way by throwing a huge bash and inviting almost entire film fraternity.
“I always wanted to host such a bash. For me, there has never been any huge celebration like a wedding or something where you have all your loved ones and friends under one roof,” he said.
The party that is being held at Taj Lands End today is being planned by Manish Malhotra and Karan Johar has no idea what’s in store for him.
“I am just waiting to be surprised,” he said.
Karan Johar incited arch rivals Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to the bash, which also has been making news.
“I have invited everyone with a lot of love and respect and I am sure people will come with the same emotions,” he said.
But Salman Khan won’t be attending the bash as he outside India at present.
“It will be a room full of love,” he added.
Even at 40 Karan Johar is still a bachelor.
“I’m married to work, so my profession is my partner,” he concluded.
