While every star looks to bite into the success of another actor, Akshay Kumar seems to feel differently.
The actor, whose movie ‘Khiladi 786’ was scheduled to release this Diwali alongside Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardar’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled Yash Chopra project has been postponed to December 7th.
The Khiladi has postponed the release of his movie so as to not clash with his friends Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan.
This isn’t the first time that Akshay Kumar has bowed down to help his friends. Earlier Akshay Kumar, who had registered the title ‘Son of Sardar’ under his banner Hari Om Productions, let go of the movie title upon Ajay Devgn’s request even though the title was close to his heart.
“Ajay met Akshay on the sets of ‘Rowdy Rathore’ to request him to part with the title ‘Son Of Sardar’. Akshay readily agreed over a handshake. So when Ajay scheduled the release of his film for Diwali 2012, Akshay decided not to clash with it at the box office. Also, Akshay is rather busy promoting Rowdy Rathore at the moment following which Joker promotions will begin. He always gives enough time to each film promotion,” said a source to a daily.
“Ajay can't stop raving about Akshay's touching gesture of letting go of the title. In fact, it was also on his request that Akshay postponed the release of Khiladi 786,” the source added.
It’s not just for Ajay Devgn Akshay Kumar has postponed the movie but also for Shah Rukh Khan with whom he recently patched up during an IPL match.
‘Khiladi 786’ stars Nargis Fakhri as the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar. The movie also stars Himesh Reshammiya, who is also the co-producer and music director of the film. As Himesh is also the music director for ‘Son Of Sardar’ he won’t have any problems with the postponement.
The movie is directed by debutant director Ashish R Mohan under HR Musik, Eros International Media Ltd and Hari Om Entertainment Co.
