“We are now releasing ‘Devdas’ in 3D. It is going to be 10 years since its release. It is looking amazing in 3D,” he said.
The director added that ‘Devdas’ was the perfect movie to be converted into 3D.
“Just think when Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit and Shah Rukh Khan come in 3D in front of you, it'll look so great and the depth of the sets also. I think the film is apt for 3D,” he concluded.
‘Devdas’ that released in 2002 was not just a block-buster hit but also was praised immensely by the critics and went on to win several awards including 5 National Awards.
The movie is based on the famous 1917 novella by Sharat Chandra Chattopadhya. In the movie Shah Rukh essays the role of Devdas, Aishwarya Rai is seen as Paaro and Madhuri Dixit featured as courtesan Chandramukhi.
