If the latest news going around tinsel town is to be believed then Anushka Sharma has been finalized for Anurag Kashyap’s ambitious project ‘Bombay Velvet’.
‘Bombay Velvet’ is a drama film based on 'Mumbai Fables', which is a semi-fictional study of Bombay in 1960s by eminent historian and Princeton University's history professor Gyan Prakash.
Anurag Kashyap had previously approached Aamir Khan with the film and even though Aamir Khan loved the script, he failed to accommodate the movie in his busy schedule. So, filmmaker recently approached and finalized Ranbir Kapoor for the male lead.
When asked if she would be starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Bombay Velvet’, actress Anushka Sharma dint confirm the news but said that she would love to work with Anurag Kashyap.
“I can't talk about things till it is confirmed. The announcement will come at the right time,” said Anushka Sharma in an interview with PTI.
“I am looking forward to work with Anurag Kashyap,” she added.
The actress is currently busy with Yash Chopra’s untitled movie with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif and Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ opposite Imran Khan.
Talking about ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ the actress said that the movie’s shooting was complete and post productions works would start soon.
“We have finished shooting for the film. I am happy to work with Vishal and Imran. The best part about Vishal's film is the characters are so well written. It is an entertaining film,” she said.
As of now ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ is scheduled to release in January 2013.
After these movies the actress will begin working in Rajkumar Hirani’s movie ‘Peekay’ that stars Aamir Khan as the male lead.
