Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is working alongside Superstar Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in Yash Chopra’s untitled project that also stars Anushka Sharma.
In a recent interview to PTI, actress Katrina Kaif admitted that working with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time was very intimidating.
“With regards to Shahrukh, I did not know him that well at all. I would have said five words to him in my entire life. With SRK, who is a superstar I have worked this year, after being in the industry for nine years,” said Katrina Kaif.
“You constantly see that person on TV, in media, movies and everywhere. So for me a little sense of intimidation was there when you are actually in front of him... which I later found funny,” she added.
After working with Shah Rukh Khan the actress can’t seem to stop praising him.
“When I started working with him, it was great. Shah Rukh as an actor is extremely dedicated, he is not thinking about himself or not thinking about how many years he is in the industry. He is extremely helpful. He has also worked with Yashji earlier, so he knows his style of working... he knows what Yashji is expecting from me... what he is trying to say to me,” said Katrina.
Yash Chopra is making a comeback as a director after eight long years. His last directorial venture was ‘Veer Zaara’ that also starred Shah Rukh Khan way back in 2004.
Katrina Kaif thinks that working with someone like Yash Chopra is a great honor.
“I must say Yashji is an incredibly nice and sweet man. It took time for him to understand me, when we were talking off the sets, he was like are you happy or sad, I was like it takes a while for me...you will understand. He jokes around...he is fun to work with,” she said.
Previously there were reports of Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma fighting over a make-up artist but both denied the reports. Katrina Kaif in fact went on to say that working with Anushka Sharma was a lot of fun.
“Anushka and I have scenes together. We had fun. We were making up our own movie on the sets as we were shooting, with alternative scenes, our version of dialogues and all,” she said.
The actress revealed that there was just 20 more days of schedule left and she would work on the movie as soon as she is done promoting ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with Salman Khan.
“We have another 20 days of schedule left. There are some portions left for shooting...one small schedule left in Ladakh. I will leave later as I am busy with 'Ek Tha Tiger',” said Katrina Kaif.
Both ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and her movie with Shah Rukh Khan are the most awaited movies of the year but mainly because they star Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Does it bother her that the Khan’s are stealing the show in both of her movies?
“If Shahrukh and Salman after having 25 years of experience are not dominating the project then something is seriously wrong,” she said.
“It does not matter to me...I don't want to take credit solely on my own. I have worked in different kind of films, doing different roles across various genres. I have worked with everyone not only Khans but actors like Akshay, Ranbir, Bobby, Abhishek, Neil, John. I have tried lot of different options,” Katrina Kaif concluded.
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is scheduled to release tomorrow on August 15th, while Yash Chopra’s untitled project will release on Diwali November 16.
