While Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has made size zero very popular, actresses like Sonakshi Sinha and Vidya Balan have made curves very desirable.
Both the actresses time and again have stated that being curvy was sexy and that dint believe in being pencil thin.
“I’ve never believed in being stick-thin. I’ve worked hard on my body and I believe I have a pretty face. And I think I’m presentable enough as well. Also, voluptuous is sexy, so why not?” said actress Sonakshi Sinha in an interview with HT.
Sonakshi Sinha’s unorthodox look, though appreciated many, has been one of the main reasons for the actress being stereotyped with the ‘desi girl’ image. And though actress enjoys playing the desi girl, Sonakshi Sinha said that she would like to play an urban girl soon.
“Desi roles are working fine for me. I’m open to playing an urban woman, but the script needs to be good. I need to make sensible choices, and if a certain thing is doing well for me now, then that’s okay,” she said.
Both the movies that Sonakshi Sinha has been the leading lady in ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’ have ended up garnering over 100 Crores at the box-office. The actress though attributes the success to her good fortune.
“It (a film) is a collective effort. I’ve been fortunate to get good films and both my movies so far have had all the essential ingredients — action, comedy, drama and romance,” she concluded.
Sonakshi Sinha’s next release will be ‘Joker’ directed by Shirish Kunder and starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The actress also has few of the most eagerly anticipated movies such as ‘Son of Sardar’, ‘Dabangg 2’, ‘Lootera’ ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2’, ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Namak’ in her kitty.
