After delivering a hit with ‘Wanted’, director Prabhu Deva and actor Salman Khan will be reuniting for yet another action flick.
The movie ‘Wanted’ that was released in 2009 was a remake of Tollywood Super hit ‘Pokiri’ starring Mahesh Babu. ‘Wanted’ not only marked the debut of Prabhu Deva as a director in Bollywood but also broke Salman Khan’s string of box-office flops and started Salman Khan’s run of box-office hits.
The movie will be produced by Tips and producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed the news but denied to confirm whether the movie will be yet another remake of South Indian film.
“We are doing a film with Salman in the lead. The film will be directed by Prabhu Deva. We can't talk about the subject it can be anything. We are still working on it,” said Ramesh Taurani to PTI.
“We will talk about it once everything falls in place. We will announce soon,” he added.
It was with ‘Wanted’ that the genre of action masala and remakes became very popular in Bollywood.
“They both started a new trend in the industry. We are pleased to be working with them. One side we have Salman who has a huge fan following and other hand Prabhu, whose style is liked by everyone,” he said.
But unfortunately due to Salman Khan’s jam packed schedule the movie will only go on floors late next year.
“We will start shooting for it by end of next year,” Taurani concluded.
Prabhu Deva too is currently busy with his movie ‘Namak’, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in main leads.
