Actress Parineeti Chopra made a strong debut in Bollywood even though in her first movie ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ she wasn’t the female lead. But even in her supporting role, Parineeti Chopra managed to impress critics and audience alike and went on to win 2 Filmfare awards for her performance in the movie.

Later she was seen as a female lead in Habib Faisal’s ‘Ishaqzaade’, opposite Arjun Kapoor. The movie went on to become a surprise hit at the box-office and Parineeti Chopra was once again showered with accolades from critics and audience alike.

But even with two strong performances behind her, Parineeti Chopra hasn’t yet been able to sign her third movie.

“There was a great deal of speculation that she would be cast in Atul Sabharwal's film being produced by Aditya Chopra which is Arjun Kapoor's next project. But the makers decided to take newcomer Sasha Agha, daughter of yesteryear actress-singer Salma Agha,” said a source to Mid Day.

“There was also buzz about her being part of Abhinav Kashyap's next project with Ranbir Kapoor. But with Ranbir having walked out of it, the project is currently at a standstill,” the source added.

The actress, who has a three movies deal with Yash Raj Films, was set to appear in Maneesh Sharma’s upcoming movie but with the postponement of the movie and Shahid Kapoor walking out of it even this film s might just go out of actress’s hands.

“So is the case of Maneesh Sharma's film with Shahid Kapoor which was to be produced by Yash Raj. As the film was delayed, Shahid decided to opt out leaving the project for the moment,” the source said.

“She was touted as the next big thing but sadly has no takers,” the source concluded.

But let’s hope that we get to see this talented actress on screen soon.
