Veteran actor Om Puri, who was admitted in hospital last week after being diagnosed with typhoid, has been released from the hospital.

The actor, who was shooting for the movie ‘Rambhajan Zindabad’, had a health scare as the prolonged bouts of fever refused to go down. He was admitted to a local hospital in Barabanki, where he underwent treatment for typhoid.

“All necessary tests were conducted, before Puri saheb was discharged from Mayo Hospital. He is fine now," said Ram Prasad Mishra, the actor's media manager, to IANS.

The actor will remain in Lucknow for another six days for the movie’s shooting.
